Future First 🌎 with Assembled Moments
In 2024 as part of the New Forest District Council allocation of Shared Prosperity Funding, designated for improving the local cultural offer, the Council proudly invested in three new, homegrown, theatre shows produced right here in the New Forest.
Future First is a futuristic fantasy adventure set against the backdrop of climate change. The audience becomes virtual avatars as they follow Arden and True, two 15-year-old Variant participants, who enter parallel universes seeking solutions to climate change in a race against time. This unique production created by young people from the New Forest in collaboration with Assembled Moments theatre company celebrates climate hope, showcasing the power of youth and collective action in shaping a better tomorrow.
Future First premiered at Forest Arts Centre as part of the Artful Scribe Play on Words festival in October 2024.
